Home grown
I had a much better night's sleep. I was in bed and asleep quite early. I woke before midnight for a comfort break, then slept through till the morning. W, on the other hand, was awake in the early hours. We were both up and downstairs by 7am (that's much earlier than usual, or necessary! )
We had to take the car in to get a repair - the power seat back adjustment of the driver's seat was malfunctioning, resulting the back leaning back OK, but then we had been unable to bring it back upright. Apparently this is a known issue with our model - according to W's info from the Facebook pages. Anyway, we were concerned it might take a while, so I drove the little car, whilst W braved it, with plenty of pillows behind him, in the Kia. The journey to the Kia garage in Wexford was made more complicated by the traffic restrictions for the Fleadh.
In fact, they were able to fix it very quickly, so we drove both cars home again.
A bit of pottering about and some sewing, for me. And W has started work on construction of a light box for me.
And we picked the two ripe tomatoes in the polytunnel. We haven't had a very good year - the tomatoes grown from seed were very slow to germinate, and we went on holiday at just the wrong time - came home to chaotic overgrowth of leaves, which were squashing the few flowers. There are reasonable numbers of green tomatoes - we need some sun to ripen them now!
W made a tasty daal for dinner.
