Tiny Tuesday ...

... In Nature.

Today's theme was tailor made for me as I'm happiest when I'm immersed in nature.   And I was spoiled for choice today as we had a busy day in nature for the most part.

As the weather was simply divine we made plans to go up to Minsi Lake for some kayaking.  We got up there in plenty of time to set up the kayak and do some kayaking all before lunch ... which we took with us to enjoy at the lake.  

I thought I was going to be posting a picture from the lake but this Ruby-throated Hummingbird had other plans for me.  He came around later this afternoon after we had returned home from the lake.  But I have added into Extras two shots from the lake plus another shot of this hummer.  Please have a look at the main full screen to appreciate. 

We saw some incredible things at the lake today.  Things we had never seen before.  One of those things can be seen in the extra collage.  The Northern water snake pictured is in the process of ingesting an 8 inch mackerel fish ... according to the fisherman who had just caught it!  All I can say is ... Wow!
