Unexpected Visitors

I was sitting outside watching the regular goldfinches at the feeders when I noticed an unusual tweet, and then the bushtits arrived. I was so surprised as I've never seen them except in winter when we have the suet out. They were so cute and I thought this was the sweetest photo.

I also caught many cabbage white butterflies, the most common butterfly around, but still beautiful in the lavender.
