Las almendras

Some delicious roasted Spanish almonds which I'm nibbling. It's only midday so there's no hidden liquid aperitivo. The plate is also Spanish, a mass produced one to which I'm very attached. It was a present from my late auntie who learned to speak Spanish pretty fluently in her later years and often holidayed there.  The almonds are a treat and I'm enjoying them very much. 

No girls today as they are down in Galloway for a few days' holiday. I've stewed all the windfall apples from yesterday. There will be more as I believe the strong wind is forecast to return. 

I have a big pile of admin to do this afternoon and I'm on a bit of a schedule with some of it. I'll be doing bedtime yoga later.
