They Will Survive
Things in the garden are actually blooming..and some that I had no hope for! The hydrangeas are so far surviving the heat and soaking up as much water as I can provide.
But the big surprises are the Rose of Sharon and the spirea shrub that appeared to be on their last legs. Shawn said I had to have faith and not to give up on them..but that was hard to do as they were merely bare twigs...with not a bit of green on them at all! But ..there they are - there is an actual flower on the Rose of Sharon and there is now green sprouting on the spirea! Shawn the miracle worker!
I dropped off my heart monitor early this morning and now will probably have to wait eons for the results, but at least the testing is done.
It was yet another day of terror for Maggie - it was her monthly needle for arthritis and my neighbour Elaine and I went through the usual fiasco of rounding her up and stuffing her in her carrying case so I could drive her to the vet. Maggie hates car rides even more than getting a needle! But we both survived and she is back home now begging for treats - her morning adventure seemingly forgotten.
