A Borrowed Lens. Leica Summicron 35mm Version VII

Yesterday, my work colleague, Luis, and I had a Leica lens shoot-out during lunch hour.  He recently bought an exquisite Leica M10 for his street photography, and now, the 7th reincarnation of the 35mm Summicron to go with it.  This focal length is the go-to of street photographers, although I believe Henri Cartier-Bresson favored a 50mm.
I have the 4th version of this lens from the early '90s, the last pre-aspherical version.  It's no slouch.  Here's an example, and another, of how it renders light.
So, Luis put my lens on his Leica, and I his lens on my Panasonic GX9.  We discovered that the earlier lens is much more contrasty in the images it renders.  In post-processing this image, I boosted the contrast a bit to my taste.  I love its rendering, especially the transition from focused to the out-of-focus zone.
