The Mounting Steps (widwed060825)

Kineton is not blessed with many sets of steps - well - not ones which would make a good blip. 

However - out on a walk this afternoon I noticed these steps outside what used to be the village butcher's shop.  Checking with the history society's info confirms they are mounting steps (for anyone collecting their Sunday joint by horse?) 

The shop was in the same family for many years and only closed in 2023.  In the extra there is one of the wall plaque and a closer view of the step(s) 

The building is now for sale - the shop and the house next door go together. 
I can imagine a lot of restoration work would be needed!
