Efficiency

The office was a busy again, with И back after a month working from Sofia. PhD student Y in particular was very glad to see her, and they went off for a "girls talk" in the afternoon. I managed to integrate our intern's code into HiGHS and, when it's applicable, it was more than holding its own against what PhD student B contributed. 


On my way home I stopped off at the Nepalese restaurant in Penicuik, where I was joined by A and our visitors for a meal. I had to leave a bit early in order to get home for the 20:00 meeting with И and our collaborators from New Zealand and Brazil. We've got just over two weeks before the quarterly meeting with our funders - that will be attended by the new boss of the team funding us - so there was a lot to talk about. Hence I didn't make it downstairs until later than expected. Our visitors were getting advice from A about where to go in the Highlands, but the forecast isn't great so I was selling the attraction of Inverness as a base.
