Wild Croc... CRIKEY!

Took a long drive north up the Queensland coast today to the Daintree River. Tried some Aussie ginger beer (bloody great), and went on a boat trip on the river (through the oldest rainforest in the world) and saw some crocodiles (wild ones too, not just there for the tourists!).

We then went down to Mossman Gorge, saw more beautiful rainforest and little walk. The gorge itself where we were (apparently) has the second purest water of any river in the world- I'd believe that too, the water was crystal clear and cool. It was naturally perfect for swimming in, with big boulders littered around for you to perch on in the middle of the pools... And so naturally, Ryan and I had to go in. (Being fully clothed didn't stop us). The water tasted better than any bottled water.

We drove down to Port Douglas just in time to see the sun setting over the mountains and to grab a cool beer and an ice cream.
