The Horses of Draft

The Shiawassee County Fair for me today. The morning played out as follows:

Admission: Free, because I was one of the first 100 old people to hit the entry gates.
Lunch: Free. Again, for the elderly...a turkey sandwich with chips, a bottled water, and a lemon cookie.
Chocolate milk...2 dollars.
Ice cream sandwich...1 dollar.

Through the barns and through the tents,
all that fun for 300 cents.

The draft horses are my favorite animals at the fair. Such a handsome animal, and SO BIG! The big horses take turns pulling a wagon full of people around the fair grounds.

Although the fair is now held at a different location, it is the fair of my youth. I used to attend with my transport being my bicycle, and with my wallet being filled with 4 whole dollars.

We may go back on Friday, but this time with no perks for us seniors.
