Bird dynamics

I can imagine the conversation:  Don't you speak to me like that, you little upstart!!  You wait your turn; there's little enough to eat as it is.

And the two magpies closer to the camera - well, the one closest is called Little Mrs.  She's the oldest of the group, and the younger ones pick on her, and have actually damaged her quite a bit.  

A couple of weeks ago, I would have said she only had days to live, but still she turns up.  She's a gentle old bird, and prefers to eat off my hand.

We'll miss her when she's gone.
