Just Another Day at the Office

I strutted down to Porty this morning wearing my black Stinger Suit over my cozy- quite the femme fatale of the beach and surely enough to ward off the evil intentions of the amassed horde of jelly fish lingering in the waters.  It seems that very many from yesterday had beached themselves at the high tide mark leaving the odd one or two still enjoying the sea.
Someone told me that jelly fish never die but in fact, according to ChatGBT it’s only the ‘immortal jelly fish ’Turritopsis dohrnii’ that manages to evade the inevitable by continually changing back to its younger self. The others die at any time from a few hours to several years.

I was so energised by my dook and of course by the caffeine in my Söderberg coffee on my return, that I decided to bite the bullet and clean behind the Ottoman which is wedged under my bedroom window on a raised ledge and has been in situ for longer than I care to remember. I had to pull it off the ledge and wriggle it out wondering if I would manage to manhandle it back into position. What I found was a spiders’ banqueting area and the grave of their prey, quite disgusting. It’s a job I have been putting off but it’s done and dusted now.

I had a stroll round the block after lunch  to find a blip for today. This is the side view of the  ‘Salon Perdu’, part of the Book Festival which starts on Saturday. It’s taken a fortnight to construct all the structures  and after a fortnight of use,  it will no doubt take another fortnight to dismantle.
The extra is of the crowd of people sitting on the wall outside Starbucks, Sainsbury’s and Söderberg on Middle  Meadow Walk eating lunch.
