Water swirling around a rock

I love the sound of a babbling brook. So soothing and energizing! I also like to see how the water gets from here to there, supposedly the course of least resistance. My eye was drawn to the swirls around the rock in this photo. No attempt to go up and over, just a joy ride of a ripple around the obstacle. It made me wonder where in my life I was trying to go up and over, rather than take the ride around it.
