Never give up hope!

After walking round the Gazebo Garden looking for butterflies and finding none we headed out towards the large Buddleia bush at the bottom of the flight of steps which leads up to the vandalised Pollok Beech.

I hadn't seen any butterflies on the Butterfly Bush all summer but today I spotted a Red Admiral almost at the top of the bush and just too far away for a photo. I waited, hoping that the butterfly would move a bit closer ...... and it did.
