Oh Help, Oh No, It's a ----

Gruffalo!

It was pouring with rain at eight o'clock (Oh Help!)so there were urgent phone calls to try and find the whereabouts of the big gazebo. It was driven over post haste from the works yard, was found to have the wrong canopy for the frame (OH NO!), two smaller ones were pulled from the container and erected, The rain stopped.

And there was the Gruffalo.
From then on it was a great day for the many visitors, staff and volunteers.
The gruffalo was photographed having his knees hugged multiple times. The queue to meet him stretched way down the path but were entertained by throwing sandbags into hoops, being given sticks with streamers (cut up hazard tape)  to wave and all and sundry ending up with a virulent green paint wart on their noses.
Inside gruffalo colouring sheets and making mini-gruffs out of pine cones, paper and lots of glue and the badge machine heating up under the demand.
Suddenly it was 4 o'clock and the last audience had been held, the Gruffalo rolled back into the forest ( at least, he disappeared from view) and scurrying like ants the team, still buzzing with adrenalin,  went into reverse, dismantled the gazebos, swept up crafty remains , removed tables, and re-stocked the shop. Whew!
All ready then for an action replay next Thursday but with Stickman as guest of honour.
