Musing of a Lady

Unexpected

Today hasn't gone as planned. Little Man had a doctor's appointment at the hospital in Gouda. They wanted to do a check up with how he's been doing over the last few months. My dad gave us a lift to the hospital and we agreed to meet in Oudewater, as my parents wanted to drop some stuff off at the charity shop.

So Little Man and I walked to the train station in Gouda and caught the bus to Oudewater. Whilst we were on the bus, my mum let me know that there was an issue with the car's insurance. So Little Man and I waited for them in Oudewater. We went to the park, and then into the town centre to go to the toilet and get an ice cream. My parents collected us from the ice cream shop and before heading to the charity shop to drop of a whole load of stuff (mainly some of my parents' stuff and Little Man's old toys he hasn't played with in months).

We came home and had a lovely afternoon. We had lunch in front of the house and hung out together. Little Man has been a darling and has really been enjoying all the attention he's been getting.

The prints for Little Man's photo album arrived this afternoon and I've spent some time putting them in his photo album. I've spent the last year and a half or so, putting a series of physical photo albums together for Little Man, to ensure he can look at his growing up years. He does enjoy it.

I helped my dad cook dinner whilst my mum read with Little Man. Dinner was delicious. Little Man had a bath, under the supervision of my mum whilst I did the dishes and cleaning up.

Its been a lovely day, despite the delays this morning.
