Sunlight and shadows

I still have these dried allium heads (and smaller eryngium heads) in the window.. I love the shadows they cast when the sun shines. It has been cooler today with a breeze. I definitely thought I smelled autumn when I went out this morning.. oh dear.. perhaps the heat and drought we had has tricked everything into thinking it is time to end the summer.. although I believe we may be in for a warmer weekend and a mini heatwave next week.
