Castle visit

Before they headed off, we took E&H to Herstmonceux Castle, which has started to take down some of its scaffolding, and they were very impressed with the gardens and the castle exterior. They didn’t have time for an internal tour. We weren’t sure about some aspects of the restoration work but maybe it will look less obvious with time.
After they left we walked home and I had a long chat on the phone with a friend that was a former colleague.
I then played bowls with N for a couple of hours before going home to do some garden tidying
