Save the Sea

Save the Sea. A simple slogan - heartfelt. We went to the Boardmasters Festival at Fistral Beach, Newquay, today. This is an annual event, spanning five days over the second weekend of August. The event is a combination of live music and surfing/skateboarding competitions in and around Newquay. There are two venues, one for the music, camping etc, at Watergate Bay, and one for the surfing at Fistral. Fistral is free, and you can watch the surfing, and follow it on a screen with a commentary as clear as mud, from the Surf Deck pictured. The atmosphere was exciting here, full of life, and exuberance, and after a damp start the weather cheered up to match . All free. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And once again felt young. Save the sea. Save this wonderful sea.
