Also known as a gatekeeper Pyronia tithonus See more detail here. due to it being found, apparently, near gates (sounds a dubious story Mr Wikipedia).

Today I made a kilo of tandoori paste, by roasting and grinding seeds and spices and mixing this with lime juice and oil - this is then diluted by yoghurt to make a great tandoori marinade.

Honourable son N°1 has invited 5 friends for the weekend (yelp!) and I'm the barbecue Meïster this evening, so I've got the chicken wings marinating in tandoori marinade and ribs in a Thai marinade that I made too and also to get the meal onto another continent, a huge pan of Patatas Bravas.

Today it has got cooler - we are down to 27°c and a bit of wind - it may or may not rain - but temperatures should be climbing back slowly to the 30°c mark from tomorrow - that's more like it!

I don't think I gave an update on the combi - so here it is : drained and changed the oil, it started first time, but it feels like the timing is slightly out or that it needs new plugs - which on a combi are a nightmare to change -- it looks at first glance, that there is no damage. I am going to a man who does leather upholstery for cars (what do we call these?) who is going to quote for new driver and passenger seats in combi blue and cream stripes - sounds weird, but it should look just too cool!

Hope you are having a great Saturday!
