Reminiscing
I took my friend to see the soda fountain in a store in North Conway which originally came from a drugstore in the town we grew up in, Lucia's. I just discovered it a few years ago myself. We used to enjoy Vanilla Phosphates at that counter in the 1950's. We then went to the old Five and DIme which first open in North Conway in 1939. We had a F.W.Woolworth's 5&10 cent store in our town. My go to place for Christmas shopping. It had a soda fountain too. For a small town, we had three drugstores! You didn't have to walk far for a soda fountain treat or to buy the latest Beatle's 45rpm! It was a day of reminiscing. The temperature is rising, unfortunately, and we will be back in the swelters beginning tomorrow. Today is a quiet day with a trip to the Amish Market.
