Gaillardia 'Guapa Flamenco Bicolo'

We have a week in Cornwall at the end of this month and I was a bit concerned that Doug's funeral would be during that week.  However, I got the date today and whilst not ideal, it's at 12.00 on the Friday that we are due to drive down to Marlborough for an overnight stop on the journey to Cornwall.  I'll have to drive up to Middlesbrough on the Thursday and stop overnight, then W will have to make her way to Peterborough on the train on Friday.  I'll drive down and pick her up from the station there after the funeral and carry on to Marlborough arriving at about 9pm.  It will be around 300 miles altogether so a very long day of driving but at least it means I can attend.

When I was in Norwich yesterday I finally got a replacement lens for my Olympus so this afternoon I have been trying it out around the garden.  It's been so long since I used the camera I'd forgotten some of the controls but it soon came back to me.  Having had quite a lot to do today I was busy until mid afternoon so although this is similar to a blip a few days ago it will have to do.  And it is Flower Friday after all!
