Jewellery buying in Spitalfield's Market

Running in my new shoes I trotted over to the East End where I'd managed to find some well priced jade beads before. 

No jade this time but I found Ursula who sources beads from Africa where there are made from recycled glass. The woman in the inset picture kindly allowed me to photograph her wearing one or Ursula's pieces.

Mission accomplished! I thought I was done until I found an amazing stall selling laser cut rubber jewellery!!!

Yep! Rubber!

This is Frida Kharla, the designer, modelling the first piece I tried on. The rubber is quite heavy and sits really well on your shoulders. I bought a red rubber necklace based on a peacock feather. I love it!
