Not Blowing in the Wind

One of my 25 year old willows had enough  and broke in half as a result of the constant wind of the last few days. The wind is not particularly strong for here but probably is stronger and more persistent than normal during the "in leaf season." It opens up an interesting gap amongst my trees which will help 2025's Christmas tree (extra) that was planted nearby. It now has space and will receive more light than was likely if the willow had survived.
Enough of the willow has survived that it will probably grow back over the next few years.
The wind is to continue for a few days yet resulting in a number of local activities being cancelled.
