Stiles & overgrown fields

Today’s walk involved climbing over a lot of stiles and walking through a lot of overgrown fields.

It also involved walking round the edge of fields where the farmer had ploughed right up to the edge so there wasn’t a path anymore and the farmer had put up a wire fence to stop anyone going into the field…………………

Ann solved the problem by lifting me over the fence (but people with big doggies might not be able to do that) and continuing on our walk at the edge of the field where the crops were growing.

We’ve come across this problem before…… Farmers ploughing right up to the edge of the field so eventually there is no path and the paths are lost forever.

Ann is going to report it on the ‘I Walk Cornwall’ app.

Not the greatest of walks today because Ann is covered in scratches and nettle stings and insect bites. I’m OK though. We walked about 4 miles but we certainly wouldn’t recommend this walk. Far too overgrown for our liking.

BUT that’s no 84 for our ‘I WalkCornwall’ walks complete. Only another 16 to go now. Yay!
