A Damp and Gusty Friday

Weather wise a very very damp day.  We were allowed a glimpse of sun after 4.00pm.  I went to visit my Mum, as I entered her room the Home Duty Manager and a GP were kneeling and administering to her from both sides of the bed.  After they debriefed me, and had departed’ I got my Mum a cup of newly made soup, which she enjoyed.  One of the carers than came to feed my Mum and got quite tearful as she chatted about her.  To give myself a spiritual lift I performed a desktop fire risk assessment for the Hoy Kirk.  The measuring up etc will be in the Kirk next week.  Sorry you’ll all have to await the outcome.  Tension mounts.  We are newly home from an opening of an exhibition in the Stromness Pier Arts Centre.  ‘Buss o’ Gress’ - Exhibition by Orkney photographer Rebecca Marr and Scottish poet Valerie Gillies.  Features work by Frances Pelly.
