Today's blip..

was very nearly planks of wood but not just any old planks, this was some of the local, fallen spalted Beech, that is my worktop at home & a piece of black Walnut.. 

E & I spent the whole afternoon, (well that bit was mostly him), creating a waney edge worktop for Freida.. then I spent this evening sanding, treating for woodworm & putting the first coat of hard wax oil on it..

It's going to be stunning & I may yet blip a photo of it  but instead here is the view looking across the valley, toward where I live, from the back of the farm, where E's workshop is..
