Today's view

The view from one of the job sites today. We were in the rich area today.

I'm glad my landlord lives in the basement and goes to work later than I do. I don't know where my head was this morning. I locked the door as usual this morning, closed it behind me, looked down and thought 'What did I just do?' I did not pick up my keys as I came out, so I locked myself out. Fortunately my phone was where it was supposed to be in my pocket. I called me landlord and asked her to open the door for me. There is an adjoining door between the 2 units. I could lock it from my side, but have never bothered with locking it. Christina says she cannot lock it from her side.

Other than that, the day went well. I called Scotia Tire about the oil leak on my truck and told them what the other shop said. I will take it to them on Monday afternoon so they can have a look at it. I told the manager that I did not appreciate feeling as though they have $$ signs rolling thru their eyes when a woman walks thru the door. He claims they don't do that. But if I had followed their instructions in the spring to take it to another shop that they suggested, it would have cost me another $1500 in repairs. I also told them that if it is the valve seal covers, they had better be prepared to rent a truck for me for a couple of days while they repair my truck properly.

I went to a potluck supper tonight with the travel/social group. There was about 40 people there, lots of new faces for me.
