Tempting

This tempting array of cakes, biscuits, scones and muffins lies between every customer and the till point in the M&S cafe. It’s very difficult to make it there without succumbing.

We didn’t make it today, my mother and I. We almost gave in at the first hurdle, the carrot cake, but having successfully passed that we fell at the bakewell tart. Not enough willpower!!!

It was delicious though, and we needed something to compensate for the day of awful rainy weather.
