Maid in Wales

A walk in the park.

A day with a difference. We left early as there was a Model Railway Exhibition, being held in Margam Park. We got there early, parked the car, and J waited outside the entrance to The Orangery. The entry fee was £10 each, but I thought  I would have a wander around the park, which is huge. I walked up to the house ( my main photo) as I knew that an artisan craft fair was being held in the house, but I was disappointed to find it didn't open until 11o'clock. and that was over an hour away, so I thought I would go for a coffee, but yet again, it wasn't open. I then walked back to where I started and saw the reindeer grazing in front of the house. (see extra)Then I walked passed the Orangery ( in extras) and down to  the Walled Garden. By this time  a burger van was opening up, so I bought a flat white and sat in a gazebo in the walled garden in the sunshine. It was quiet and I didn't see anyone. Bliss! I did phone J to tell him where I was, and tell him that I wasn't coming into the exhibition as there was so much to keep me occupied. I then walked back up behind the orangery, and went into Margam Abbey. I sat there awhile, and then went to sit outside and wait for J to come up out. He had had a very good morning as well, spent a fortune, but he was happy with his purchases. When we met up, we walked back down to the burger van, bought a burger and a coffee , and sat on a bench people watching. A very enjoyable trip, and I think I will be in bed early tonight.
