Spectating
My tournament is over as far as playing is concerned but Mrs TT and I have been going down in the evening to watch and support our club players. There is good atmosphere and food is available from the café by the adjoining swimming pool. The new flood lights are working well. Last year they were faulty and blew out the lights on the boulodrome and in the sports centre so the council had to do something about the problem. It was a serious fault and it cost €40,000 to find the underground issue between the three areas and to renew the floodlights. Someone did ask me to hit balls with them before their match, which I did yesterday evening and again this morning. I shall not be playing again for a while as I have a painful muscle by my right shin. I took two Ibroprofen and I have been regularly icing it and using an anti-inflammatory cream.
I went down to the neighbour’s house to take a video call with the insurance expert. She now wants another report from the expert who will determine the cause. Sadly, despite the water being off and there not having been any rain, there was water back in the room. I think it is rising from below through capillary action. We have bellringing tonight but I hope it is very short as the heat wave is upon us again. Temperatures up to 40 degrees are predicted for tomorrow.
