Juvenile Goldfinch

As well as house sparrows we seem to have a second brood of baby goldfinches in the garden. This one looks very vulnerable, I do hope the Sparrowhawk doesn’t get it.
My younger daughter asked me to go into town with her this morning to look for a dress as she is going to a wedding next week and had nothing suitable to wear. The thought of shopping, in Glasgow city centre, on a Saturday, filled me with dread but it actually was fine. She hates shopping too so there was no time wasted and with great focus she scanned the sale rails and made her purchase, we were back on the train in no time!
