Prism

Whoever designed the plain prism for the Nikon F2 was pretty good. From the front it's one side of a pyramid, from the back it's a shallow arch over the eyepiece, which then decreases its radius of curvature to meet the pyramid. It's really nice to look at, even more so because nobody but the photographer ever sees it really.
