Blues

Robin was on her way to the airport by 8.45 to fly home to Baku, and it wasn't long before that heavy quiet of an empty house made the air feel oppressive and dull. I guess you'd call it 'post visitor blues' - perhaps I should write a song. The drudgery of laundry and shopping and tidying up occupied my time but provided no comfort - I know it'll blow over, but it was a long, long morning.

My afternoon and evening have been much better as I've been mostly in or by the pool as the very blowy winds of this morning, making moving outside like walking through a hair dryer, moved on to wherever winds go - but it's been a hot one -  around 40ºC much of the day and is still 35ºC on my patio at 22.00 as I write this

I want to say thank you to those friends who responded to yesterday's Blip with info on where and how I can find a 'Lamb Baby' replacement - especially to those who've offered to buy one for the woofer. He's a lucky lad.
