Here we go again.

A win on the first day of the season is a rarity for Chester. Over the years I've seen a couple of opening day 5-0 defeats and a 6-0 so it was a treat to see a home win for the first time in 10 years. It was also the first time they have scored three on the opening day since 1979. Of course they didn't make it easy by giving away two unbelievably stupid goals immediately after they had gone 1-0 and 2-1 up but in the end it was an entertaining way to start the season.
