Pea pod!

The first ripe pea.
I've tried a couple over the last few days but this was thre first that tasted sweet and crisp and full-grown. So a new harvest begins.
Feeling a bit better today, the cold is definitely on the way out.
I did a full Tai Chi practice on the deck today. It felt pretty good.
Less good is that there's a small wasp's nest under the deck, with the wasps disappearing down through cracks between the planks. As I train TaiChi a wasp cruises by every minute or so, but as long as I stay relaxed so do they.
Unfortunately if we leave the wasps alone the nest will get bigger and become a real problem. The deck was so well built (Thanks Börje!) that it's not easy to get at the underside. Tomorrow I'll set up a few wasp traps and spread some peppermint oil around. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Jan seems to be developing a cold. Now who could she have caught that from?
Another sign of my increase in action is that I backblipped yesterday (more flowers I'm afraid) and the 2nd August with a picture from the final concert we watched at Urkult, an English string quartet playing 16th century madrigals, wild folk music, and some very modern pieces. Their feminist vibe can perhaps be detected in the name of their string quartet - Vulva Voce!
