Restocking

'Tis the season. Food cupboards and fridge and freezer stocks had all been run down to the point where it was finally a quick and easy job to clean them. Like local walks, I took a real scunner at doing these kinds of occasional chores after the lockdowns and was quite startled at just how many cobwebs and layers of dust had built up when I wasn't looking too closely when I finally got around to the cleaning before restocking, which I've managed to put off several times with great success.

But I was getting bored with eating just what I've got left in cupboards /freezer, houseguests are arriving who it wouldn't be kind to subject to this kind of boring eating, and so stocking up again was the next big job of out of term time. Thus trips to all the supermarkets I use on either a regular or semi-regular basis have now taken place.

This one was taken in the Customer Service queue whilst I was waiting to hand over these significantly well past their before of date items and point out I'd've bought the entire box full but as they will persist on putting these on higher shelves my 5' 1" self struggles to reach they will have to send someone taller to sort that one out! This is not a first offence with these items in this supermarket - the poor chap had had my thoughts on all this at least twice before! But this is by far the worst.
