Impatiens

Hubby called me downstairs. My mother had gotten up and decided to make her breakfast. She’d cleaned and sliced a tomato on one plate that was already on the table. Every breakfast type food was out on the island. The monstrous cantaloupe I bought on Friday was in pieces on the counter. She must not have found the big container full of cut up cantaloupe in the refrigerator. My mother was enjoying a chunk on her way to the table. Welcome to Sunday Funday. I quickly took over and got everything cleaned up while Momma had a warm danish with her fruit and coffee. Hubby sat with Momma while I went blip shopping. My annuals are still looking pretty. Decided to use blooms from the planter of impatiens. I walked to the formal garden and weeded a bit. Not wanting to be out long, I put Sevin dust on the new kale plants. Otherwise, the cabbage butterflies will strip the leaves down to the stem. I watered my succulents and went back inside. Hubby and Momma had finished eating; I cleaned up the rest of the mess and put a pork roast and sweet potatoes in the crock pot. I found some football on tv to entertain my mother. Found a game with her favorite teams: Colts and Ravens. She lived in Baltimore during her college years and has always loved these teams. Hubby repaired our mail box. We have a new postal delivery person and he broke our flag his first week. Hubby is working on his LifeStoryPro chapters. He has made significant progress this weekend. Dinner will be easy. I might even get to pull out my Kindle. Wishing you some free time as the weekend ends. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Be blessed this morning. May grace and peace be with you. With beautiful pink impatiens balsamina flower blossom on blurry green background. Morning blessing and kind wishes....” - Maria Marganingsih
