Sally Mair - Loving life

Another World

Church this morning, only 3 more Sundays before our New Rector is installed. Needless to say that means there's an awful lot of planning etc going on in the background just now. We had a good service though with another new couple joining us and signing up to bring things to the BBQ in a fortnight. Always a good sign.
Ali and the little girls were over this afternoon. The first time we've seen them since they got back from holiday. They were in great form, Bonnie is really growing up.
This evening Katy and I went to her church (blipped) St Paul's and St George's on York Place. It's a church like no other with about 75% of the congregation under 40. This evening was the occasion of the ordination to the priesthood of a lady who had a placement at our church a couple of years ago. She's going to make a wonderful priest.
The church was full both on the ground floor and upstairs on the 3 balconies. Not sure of the number but I would have thought well over 300. A really joy filled occasion .
The extra is a jasmine I spotted on the way back to the car, it's an unusual pale yellow colour and had a wonderful scent .
