A cruise in company – it was originally planned for Saturday, and the destination was Dalgety Bay but high winds etc etc put paid to that. Instead an impromptu gathering was whistled up for Sunday, and everyone’s favourite, Aberdour, was the destination. Just the SK and myself and I’ve got to say we made a pretty speedy crossing, which was all quite unremarkable apart from the container ship which we spotted coming up the channel, err slightly later than perhaps we should have. And a branch, about twelve feet long which got itself wedged under the boat. Difficult things to spot, those. The container ship, well, it was a Sunday, you don’t expect them.
