XM569 Instrument Panel

Too busy for the dogs today - No, not really. I did go for a walk before I went to the preview opening of Jet Age Museum.
Spent all day up in the cockpit section of XM569, apart from a few minutes for a 'comfort break'!
It's great telling people about it, they are so enthusiastic and appreciative of a 10 minute tour. They get the three crew positions and then up into the pilots seats for a run over the controls.

XM569 was built in 1962, delivered to RAF Scampton, 27 Sqdn, in January 1963 and had a great career up until her last flight to Cardiff (Rhoose) Wales Air Museum in 1983. The museum folded in 2000 and XM569 was scrapped. Gary Spoors saved the forward fuselage section and has loaned it to the museum on a long term basis.
