Red Deer Stag

Had to give this one a good crop to try and bring out the beautiful velvet antlers. They're in prime condition at the moment and I liked how the grass had taken on a bit of a serengeti look, apart from the ragwort!

After camping out on the mountainside all night waiting for first light, he finally appeared...........Some you you may know that I live quite close to a deer park, so no camping out was required ; ) Great training ground for starting off with wildlife photography.

I really liked this one but decided that the deer was more impressive.
