Damsons on the Darn Walk
This morning I met my friend the beekeeper in Bridge of Allan. We set off to walk along the Darn Road to Dunblane. There we had a cup of tea and something to sustain us before walking back via the Glen Road. In all we walked under seven miles but I feel quite tired. I'm thinking of giving yoga a miss tonight.
It's a lovely walk by the Allan Water and the Wharry Burn. On the way back we were surprised to see several damson trees bearing lots of fruit. It's not quite ripe but it won't be long and I imagine that there are people who pick the fruit to make jam.
Home now after 24K steps and I'm happy to sit down for a while.
