A grand day out..

at the Edinburgh Fringe ..

I booked tickets to see Banksy, the Room in the Elephant. A one man play about a man who was made homeless when the water tank he had lived in (in LA) for 7.5 years was painted on by Banksy and it was sold as a work of art. It was brilliant. At the end we were all left deeply moved by the plight of the poor homeless man and were clapping the performance when, unbeknownst to the actor, the producer stepped up and introduced the real life man himself.. the actor and subject of the play met for the first time.. it was an incredibly moving moment and the audience all stood and applauded. An incredible story..well acted and a very poignant ending.

Then lunch in a nice little Japanese restaurant where I fell for this teapot (yes I like teapots!) It looked like it was made of lumpy cast iron.. but was in fact stoneware.. I liked the shapes and angles in this shot.

It is the last weekend of the Fringe..you can see the weariness on the faces of the workers!!

A grand day out.. tomorrow will be a beach day.. yippee!
