Chimney leaves

I always find it surprising to see vegetation growing on occupied buildings, whether residential or (as in this case) commercial.
I wonder if there is a ‘technical’ term for growth like this.

Blipfoto told me after I posted my previous entry that I have a Blip anniversary coming up in a couple of days. It made me think how sometimes you’re happy to just grab a photo opportunity as it passes you (or you pass it), like this one today. Other times, you go looking for something, anything, to hopefully try to improve your photography skills (still a work-in-progress for me; I use the word ‘skills’ but there’s a way to go there). Sometimes, as over the next two days, you have ‘diary events’ - things you know you’re doing in advance and assume you’ll get something to Blip from that. And sometimes you struggle to find anything at all until the last minute (too many late-night dog-blips?)
But what a lovely community we have here. Here’s to, hopefully, more anniversaries to come.
