First Attack

The first attack on the first marrow of the season has been successfully carried out. Sliced, boiled, stuffed and baked it was defenceless against the deadly knife and fork attack that followed. That’ll show it.
I hit the golf course early this morning, back to my regular game with Dave who, nursing a bad back and a sore knee, beat me as usual. He cons me into being sorry for him but to be fair, I was rubbish.
