Organised Chaos

I investigated a new location today; Englefield Gardens near Reading which I discovered looking for an RHS Partner garden,  The 12-acre gardens are mainly woodland, but the lower terrace borders were full of bloom.  

As I walked up the hill on which the garden is set, and though a particularly wooded area, I spotted this "dump" of tree roots. The roots looked as if they had been carefully positioned, but the overall impact was chaos - just the job for the Mono Monday challenge.

Technical bit: a handheld 3-shot panorama merged in Lightroom and converted to B&W.  The new computer sped through the edits, and everything is so much faster and smoother (and quieter!). So very pleased so far.
