A Rook with a Book

A statue in memory of Daphne du Maurier on the quayside in Fowey, where she spent much of her life.

Have to admit, I forgot she wrote ‘the Birds’ so the rook makes sense, I was thinking much more of the first Mrs de Winter.

There was a lovely little rook perched just off to one side after I took this photo, but I would say the obligatory seagull on top really highlights the current ornithological scourge in the South West!!!
