Today the news I knew would come one day, my mum died. Feels like a double whammy as we didn’t have the best relationship and the loss has opened the pandora box I’ve kept firmly shut for 40 years. As I process it, I was touched when a text arrived with there’s something on your doorstep. It was these from my thoughtful neighbour Claire.
