Graninge Lake

One of our favourite spots for camper van overnights. I’ve worried sometimes that it’s overvisited by campers but tonight we met one of the people who takes care of the place. She said they were very happy to see it so well-used.
I suppose the number of days it gets used for swimming is fairly limited, whereas the camper vans are probably rolling up from May to October. Just now there are two cars with roof tents and three camper vans here. We are the only Swedish van here, one van from Holland, and the rest are from Germany. Now, at 9:30 in the evening everyone is inside and it’s very quiet.
There’s a notice next to the tap suggesting you may like to make a donation if you like staying here, with a link to PayPal, and another to the Swish, the Swedish payment system. I hope lots of people send them something. We always do!
If we are awake we may go outside when it’s dark to look for (hopefully at) the Perseid meteor shower. It’s half cloudy at the moment so we may get a clear sky to the NE, where they appear to come from.
This is a spontaneous van trip, decided on around lunch today. One of the joys of camper vans and living here. I’m grateful to live somewhere where even a place as beautiful as this is quiet and peaceful.
